These materials were initially added to other preexisting stamp collections, most likely in an attempt to create one comprehensive collection of the subject. An ornithological expedition to Ecuador led by Ornithology Curator Frank Gill and staffed by Robert Ridgely, Mark Robbins, George S. Glenn and Robert M. Peck. The collection includes photographs by R.M. Peck, newspaper clippings, a published report and other information on the expedition.

the Lake Tilicho Expedition was undertaken by the Academy in cooperation with the Alpine Zone Research Project of the Explorers Club. Academy participants were Robert M. Peck, Clyde Goulden and Richard Horwitz, The collection consists of 19 photoprints, black-and-white 8x10, taken by R.M. Peck.

Scope and Contents Photocopied typescript of Academy's former trustee Minturn Wright III's travelogues. The ANSP offered high-end educational travel "expeditions" in the 1980s and 1990s, and Mr. Wright participated in at least the nine excursions represented here, across South and Central America, Eastern Canada, Mongolia, and the Antarctic between 1974 and 1997.
